QMS Quality Consultants

Print version

QMS Consultants are highly skilled and experienced health and community professionals who, amongst other things, conduct your organisation’s External Review, on behalf of QMS. They undertake specialised training in review methodology against the Standards used by QMS. Our Consultants are as varied in background as the organisations with which we work: nurses, allied health professionals, doctors, and administrators from all levels in public, private and non-government health and community organisations.

QMS will utilised these Consultants to identify and to tailor an appropriate quality pathway for your organisation. Our Consultants are skilled in the areas of training, assessment, review and specialised in the organisational management of health and community sector services.

The Team

When undertaking a QIC review your organisation will be provided with the most appropriate Review Team, carefully chosen from our team of more than 100 skilled Consultants. The size of the team varies from one to five members, depending on the size of your organisation. The Review Team for your organisation may include the following members:

Review Team Coordinator The Review Team Coordinator leads the team that externally assesses your organisation and is your organisation’s primary contact for the External Review phase of The Review Cycle. Coordinators complete specialised training, demonstrate significant experience as an External Reviewer and attend annual Coordinator Update Workshops.
External Reviewers External Reviewers generally form the remainder of the team. They complete specialised training.

Technical Experts

A Technical Expert may be included in your Review Team if specialist expertise is required for the External Review. They may participate in the whole External Review or a component.

Review Contacts A Review Contact is the person in your organisation who undertakes specialised training to facilitate the Review Cycle process. Large organisations often have a group of Review Contacts to jointly facilitate the process. For the Service Development option, Review Contacts may also form part of the Review Team and contribute to the assessment of your organisation.
